Sunday, August 4th marks the beginning of both the Cleveland Triathlon in Cleveland and the Greater Cleveland Triathlon in Mentor. Bringing a total of nearly 2,000 athletes into the area, the Cleveland Triathlon and Greater Cleveland Triathlon are two of the most highly-anticipated events for serious athletes.
But these aren’t the only local triathlons coming up soon. The REV3 Cedar Point Triathlon will be held from September 7-8 in Sandusky. This Ironman-style challenge invites only the toughest athletes to complete a full rev consisting of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run. A total of 140.6 miles, this long-distance triathlon will test the abilities and willpower of roughly 2,000 participants.
