If you’re a frequent participant in intense physical activities, then you’re aware that there are a number of events coming up in Ohio over the next two months. Sunday, August 4th marks the beginning of both the Cleveland Triathlon in Cleveland and the Greater Cleveland Triathlon in Mentor. Consisting of running, swimming and biking, these local triathlons are very physically demanding, forcing competitors to use every bit of strength and endurance they have in order to complete the race. Bringing a total of nearly 2,000 athletes into the area, the Cleveland Triathlon and Greater Cleveland Triathlon are two of the most highly-anticipated events for serious athletes.

But these aren’t the only local triathlons coming up soon. The REV3 Cedar Point Triathlon will be held from September 7-8 in Sandusky. This Ironman-style challenge invites only the toughest athletes to complete a full rev consisting of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run. A total of 140.6 miles, this long-distance triathlon will test the abilities and willpower of roughly 2,000 participants.

Having supported each of these local triathlons for the past decade, Bike Authority is excited to be involved with the 2013 events as well. This fervent athletic supporter will have a team of their bicycle specialists present at each of the triathlons taking place over the next two months. Not only will this Broadview Heights establishment be offering their support to athletes as they make their way through each course, but they’ll be offering their services too. Whether a competitor needs bike fitting right before the race or bike repair right in the thick of things, Bike Authority is more than happy to offer their assistance. As many of their bicycle specialists are competitors themselves, they know just how important it is to have comfortable and fully-functional equipment come race day.
